Recently, I came across another service provider’s website that looked strikingly similar to mine. The words were different, but the template, the colors, and even the overall tone were nearly identical. At first glance, you’d be forgiven for mistaking one of us for the other.

Now, both of us absolutely have the right to be in this space. But when we’re part of a very small pool of providers serving the same clients, “looking alike” isn’t just inconvenient – it creates confusion where there should be clarity. And in business, clarity is everything.

What Copying Really Says About a Business

When one business mirrors another so closely, it raises questions beyond design.

• Originality – If your brand looks and feels like someone else’s, what does that say about your creativity? Originality isn’t about reinventing the wheel, but it is about showing up in a way that’s unmistakably yours.
